Don’t Like Eating Green Leafy Veggies? Check Out Some Other Simple & Healthy Alternatives

Eating dark green leafy veggies on a regular basis is incredibly important and we all are aware of this fact. Green vegetables are rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that are important for our growth, keep our immunity strong, and help us to stay in shape.

Despite knowing the many benefits of eating green veggies, there are times when we struggle to incorporate them into our daily eating plan. Even the healthy eater can find it difficult to consume green veggies if eaten in the same boring way everyday.

No matter if you are a vegetable lover or a vegetable hater, there are days when we have a hard time eating various leafy greens, and I used to face the same difficulty. So, after a little research and some attempts to try out some different ways of eating leafy greens, I have managed to create a quick list of healthy and tasty alternatives, making it possible for every picky eater to add more greens to their diet without getting bored.

Without any further ado, let’s get into the list and discover new ways to eat greens and enjoy the maximum health benefits they offer.

The perfect combination of kale, spinach, broccoli, cucumber, green apple, and anything else you fancy makes a tasty smoothie which is also a healthy breakfast, providing a generous amount of fiber, antioxidants, and essential vitamins required for the proper functioning of the body. Smoothies are a popular and enjoyable way of getting green vegetables and nutrition into our diet.

It is an easy, tasty, and quick option to consume important nutrients in one go. Just make sure that you skip the sugar and choose other healthy sweetener alternatives such as fruits, honey, or coconut sugar in the right amount to give your smoothie the sweeter taste.

Juices

Juicing is a popular and trendy way of providing your body with more vitamins than eating solid green vegetables. Drinking green juices for breakfast or for snacking can be a good way to load up the body with the numerous nutrients from vegetables without too much effort.

As the store-bought juices are mostly full of adulterations, I either go for juicing at home or order natural and refreshing cold-pressed green juice online from a reliable brand. Centrifugal juice can also be consumed but since it has lesser nutrient value, I would suggest trying cold-pressed juices to get maximum benefits.

Soups

Soups are a great way to maintain the electrolyte balance of the body and keep the stomach feeling fulller for a longer period thus curbing hunger. Soups are also highly consumed during sickness and are definitely a great substitute if you are on a weight loss journey.

Home-made soups are a wholesome meal as you can chop a variety of leafy veggies to add and use spices to your liking Soup is easy to cook, costs little to make, and fills your body with the utmost health benefits of green veggies that you should not miss out on.
